The Dresden-based company InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik is a specialist for products and services in the field of infrared technology. The privately held company was founded in 1991. Today, it is a fully integrated company with its own departments of development, production, service and distribution, employing about 200 highly-qualified specialists. In order to coordinate activities in the chief markets Europe, North America and Asia InfraTec has established several international subsidiaries. Additionally, the company operates within an international distribution network.

The business unit of the infrared sensor division produces custom-made components on more than 1.000 m of clean room space especially pyroelectric infrared detectors for clients worldwide. Based on a broad range of detector types, customised measurement tasks can be realised through an organised manufacturing in clusters. Longstanding experience of R&D colleagues, technologists and constructors provides high-quality customer support comparable to essential protective measures of human life in the security engineering market segment. Spectrally single and multi channel infrared detectors count among the products of the infrared sensor division, next to infrared sensors with electrically tuneable filters based on MOEMS. These detectors can be used in gas analysis, fire and flame sensor technology and spectroscopy.
